Private Dwelling – Bladon Court Belfast – The brief called for the complete redevelopment of a house constructed sometime in the eighties. The original house was unbalanced and sat uncomfortably in a well presented cul de sac. The client required a house for his family that would incorporate new living areas and extra sleeping accommodation. The solution rested upon reorganising the main entrance and providing a clear axis through the house around the existing stair. The house was rendered and aluminium windows where chosen to give a crisp modern finish to the house. Current Status: Completed 2011
Originally designed by The Boyd Partnership this church is being renovated internally to provide a new and modern entrance hall. The brief called for the existing entrance to be remodelled to give a new and fresh entrance. It was decided that the existing opening with new aluminium windows to allow for large glass opening. Internally a new toilet and kitchen have been located in the entrance. The main church hall should benefit from light coming through the glass projecting box and into the church hall.
